Remember to Plan Ahead
Make sure to find out if the water, gas, and electricity are on before the inspection starts. An inspector is not allowed to turn on anything that is in the off position for safety reasons. It could be off for a reason!
Have boxes and storage items moved away from the foundation walls. Inspecting the foundation structure is very important. Don’t let clutter get in the way of getting the best inspection possible.
Snow cover on a roof and/or driveway will limit the view for the inspector. Try to find a clear day for your inspection. It will give you and the inspector a better idea of the buildings condition.
